The number of corona cases in Germany reported to the RKI yesterday was 61,889.
Despite due late registrations after registration strikes in 15 of 16 federal states, there is a minus of four percent compared to the previous week. This is the 35th consecutive week-on-week decline.
Because of the many late registrations, which are always due at the beginning of the week after the widespread registration strikes at weekends, Monday has established itself as the day with the highest reported number of cases.
Therefore, the number of reported cases in the coming days can be expected to fall short of yesterday’s 62,000.
The late reports are also likely to be the reason why the 7-day incidence is increasing, from 189 to 202.
It’s the first increase in three weeks.
The incidence is only falling in Berlin and Rhineland-Palatinate. It is increasing in the other 14 federal states.
Bremen, presumably due to late registrations, is now over 250 again, and Saxony-Anhalt is back at more than 100.
136 corona deaths were reported to the RKI yesterday, 23 fewer than a week ago.
The 7-day average falls to 74.
This is the lowest reading since October 27, 2021.
