The number of corona cases reported to the RKI in Germany yesterday was 42,375.
That’s the lowest weekday reading since Jan. 4. In the previous week comparison, there is a minus of 32 percent. This is the 25th consecutive week-on-week drop.
With yesterday’s corona reports, more than 26 million cases have now been registered since the beginning of the pandemic.
It took 17 days from the 25th to the 26th million.
The 7-day corona incidence continues to fall today, from 362 to 342. It is falling in all 16 federal states.
As the 15th federal state, Lower Saxony is now also falling below the 500 threshold with its corona incidence.
This means that only Schleswig-Holstein is over 500.
120 corona deaths were reported to the RKI yesterday, 13 fewer than a week ago.
For the ninth day in a row, the number of deaths remained below the level of the previous week.
