About 70% of Russians called convenient electronic work book

About 70% of Russian citizens called the electronic format of the work book are convenient for employees, according to a study of the current portal “Work in Russia”.

Over 80% of respondents believe that “to employers is much easier to access the digital version”, — reported in the study, which is quoted by RNS.

More than 1 million Russians have moved to electronic employment record, according to the Pension Fund of Russia (PFR). The Fund began to receive reports and data from employers of 15 February on the transition to the new format.

the law on the introduction of electronic work record cards entered into force on 1 January 2020. By law, employers are required to provide to the FIU in electronic form data on employment and transfer to another permanent work of all employees and dismissal of employees and submission of the corresponding statements.

Employers are required until June 30 to notify employees about the possibility to choose paper or electronic workbook, as well as about changes in labor legislation. The employee must write a statement about the choice of format from 1 July until 31 December.
