Actor Ray Liotta has died. This was reported by several US media on Thursday. Liotta was 67 years old.

His agent told The Hollywood Reporter that the actor died while he was sleeping. She did not give any further details. Liotta was currently shooting a film in the Dominican Republic, reports the US film magazine “Deadline”. He is survived by a daughter and his fiancée, Jacy Nittolo.

Liotta achieved great fame in 1990 with the mafia epic “Goodfellas”. He starred alongside Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci in the film directed by legendary director Martin Scorsese. The year before, he starred opposite Kevin Costner in the baseball film Field of Dreams.

Other well-known films are “Operation Dumbo” (1995) and “Cop Land” with Sylvester Stallone (1997). Liotta won an Emmy in 2005 for a guest appearance in the medical series “Emergency Room”.
