Admiral James Foggo: allies, the US should learn from Russia

Information portal Business Insider reports that, according to the commander of the U.S. Navy in Europe and Africa Admiral James Foggo, the experience of Russia in building defence could be useful allies of Washington.

In December last year during a speech in Washington, the American commander noted that the protection of their shores should pay attention to what the Russians are doing, and try to acquire the same as they have, systems, smart mines, antiship cruise missiles, onshore radar stations.

Also Admiral Foggo stated that in recent years Russia has made impressive progress in developing its submarine fleet, and it’s an asymmetrical way to challenge the West and NATO, reports TASS.
