The comeback of sports presenter Alexander Bommes (47) is imminent. “The sports show is currently planning again with Alexander Bommes from March. If he is not fit again by then, we will fill the relevant programs with other moderators,” said ARD.
Bommes had canceled his assignments at the Handball World Cup in January and explained: “After a year in which I, like many people, had to accept some health restrictions, I want to complete further recovery.” In 2022 he had a number of caught infections.
For the first time Bommes, who also canceled the quiz show “Gefraget – Gejagt” on November 19 at the handball Bundesliga game Magdeburg against Kiel, then gave up the main moderation in the ARD studio at the World Cup in Qatar. Previously, he had broken off a rehearsal because he had not felt physically well.
