Leading hockey Russian national team and NHL club “Washington capitals” Alexander Ovechkin did in the regular season, another hat-trick and surpassed Mario Lemieux in the list of the best snipers in the League. The Russians caught up with Steve Yzerman on the number of goals in his career – both for 692 goals.
Ovechkin shares with Yzerman ninth place on this indicator in the history of the National hockey League, reminds the official site of NHL. The captain of “capital” replaced with the tenth place Lemieux (690 goals) and now two goals behind occupying eighth place Mark Messier (694).
Another eight goals will allow Ovechkin to become the eighth player in League history stepped over the mark of 700 accurate throws.
