Astronomers: milky way 36 is inhabited by extraterrestrial civilizations

In the milky Way galaxy may have up to 36 of extraterrestrial civilizations. To such conclusion researchers from University of Nottinghamshire.

Scientists estimate how many civilizations could be present in the galaxy for all time of its existence, and also estimated the number of possible “contemporaries” of humanity. As reported TASS, they came to the conclusion that only in the milky Way could exist about 475-928 civilizations. But now their number does not exceed three dozen. The nearest of them, according to Professor Christopher Conselice, will be at a distance of several thousand light-years from Earth.

This explains the fact that humanity has still not made contact with extraterrestrial civilizations. Our devices will not be able to catch radio signals or flashes of light, generated at this distance. While other civilizations (if they really are) not aware of the existence of people, because our signals will go to them for a few millennia.
