Burke told the judge in Russian. He said that he is 29 years old, he was born in Nefteyugansk, graduated from a course at St. Petersburg University, studying in the specialty “management”.

He agreed with the plot of the episodes of crime offered by the prosecution: he admitted that he had been the administrator of the site Cardplanet, selling stolen credit card numbers. In addition, Burke led the portal’s Direct Connection serving to communicate the “elite criminals”.

According to the charges, Burkov from their criminal activities received at least one million five thousand dollars benefit. It was on his personal account. However, when the bill was arrested, it turned out that money had already been withdrawn from him.

Burke refused to redress and trial by jury. He noted that he had reviewed the transaction and voluntarily pleads guilty. He also promised that he will not qualify to stay in the States after serving his prison term.

the Judge announced that the maximum period for the Russians – up to 15 years in prison. Earlier he threatened the 80-year period. Lawyer Burkova Gregory Stumbo was pleased with the deal, expressing hope that the maximum fifteen-year term for him will be reduced. The sentence was appointed on may 8, 2020.

Burkov was detained in 2015 in Israel. In November 2019, he was extradited to the United States. Russian accused of stealing credit cards and causing damage in the amount of $ 20 million.
