Belarus bought 80 thousand tons of Norwegian oil

“Belarusian oil company” bought a batch of Norwegian oil in the amount of 80 thousand tons. Supply of raw materials will be carried out through Klaipeda on January 22.

Oil intended for processing at the Novopolotsk “Naftan”, reports “Interfax” referring to the press service of the concern “Belneftekhim”.

Earlier the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko spoke about the difficulties in the negotiations with Russia on oil. According to him, the Russian side offers to buy raw materials at prices higher than the world.

Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov, in turn, noted that Belarus can buy oil at cheaper prices, if it has such capabilities.

In January, the first Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Dmitry Krutoy said that the authorities consider supply of raw materials from a number of countries, including Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Poland and the Baltic States.
