Capital navigation was opened with the parade of ships

In the capital today officially opened the passenger navigation on the Moscow river. In honor of this event a parade of boats, reports RIA Novosti.

About 40 different ships, from ships “Moskvich”, created in 1950-e years, to a modern yacht passed from the Novospassky to Andreevsky pedestrian bridge by the main Moscow attractions.

Start passenger navigation was postponed for 2 months because of the restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of coronavirus. While walking on the river buses and ships will need to comply with safety rules: a crew will greet guests in masks and gloves, passengers will measure the temperature, all surfaces will be disinfected after each flight.

Earlier, the Deputy mayor of Moscow Pyotr Biryukov said that before the start of navigation have been thoroughly tested and all the passenger berths: granite coating cleaned and repaired, fences painted. Also tidied up stairs, iron railings, parapets, cornices, and some embankments installed granite benches.
