CEC: amendment to the Constitution voted 57.7 million Russians

For amendments to the Constitution voted 57 million 700 thousand people. It 52,95% of all eligible Russians. The Russia’s Central election Commission has processed 100% of protocols of precinct election commissions on the morning of 2 July.

“For” the amendments to the Constitution voted 77,92% of voters, against — of 21.27%, said the head of the CEC of Russia, Ella Pamfilova, at a press conference at the CEC, which was broadcasted by the TV channel “Russia 24”.

the Turnout for the national vote, according to the CEC, amounted to 67,97%. In the Russian capital, the turnout was less than 55,93%. The highest turnout was recorded in Chechnya — 95,14%, and the lowest in Kamchatka — 44,08%.

Ella Pamfilova noted that the violations in the water vote was kept to a minimum. But the data in 16 polling stations were revoked. The reasons are different: from the ballot stuffing by the head of the election Commission in the Ramenki before the vote on the passport of his brother. Also Ella Pamfilova said that at one of the polling stations in the Crimea in the ballot box were more ballot papers than were issued in the area. The data on this site has also been canceled.

amendments to the Russian Basic law will come into effect immediately after the results of the people’s will. The voting results of the CEC, by law, has five days and three days on publication of results.
