Marino played 17 seasons in Miami, 13 of which were below coach Shula

Don Shula is your one time wins pioneer in NFL history with 328 successes over his Hall of Fame career. The only active mentor in striking distance of breaking this document is New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick, that sits 48 wins .

If Belichick has been trainer for another five seasons, then there is a possibility he could surpass Shula, however, just one Hall of Fame quarterback does not wish to see that occur.

Miami Dolphins legend Dan Marino stated in a recent interview with ESPN that he expects Shula stays the one time winningest head coach in league history.

“I hope that he do not get it,” Marino informed ESPN. “That is my response. I am a Dolphin for life, man. Coach Shula for lifetime. I do not desire [Belichick] to receive it.”

Marino played 17 seasons in Miami, 13 of which were below coach Shula.

He was inducted to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2005, which had been his first year of eligibility.
