Deputy Minister of energy of the Russian Federation reported on the transit of oil through Belarus

on Saturday, Deputy Minister of energy of Russia Pavel Sorokin told the media about the total volume of Russian oil transit through Belarus, Interfax reports.

Earlier the President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree introduced the environmental tax on the transit of oil and oil products across the country. The new collection, has informed a press-service of the President of the Republic, intended for liquidation of consequences of possible accidents on the main oil pipeline. For companies-conveyors established rate of the profit tax in the amount of 50 per cent.

From 1 January 2020, the Belarusian oil refineries were not receiving crude oil from Russia due to the lack of agreement on the price of raw materials. At the end of the week it became known about the conclusion of contract to supply oil to Naftan and Mozyr oil refinery from the Russian group “Safmar”. In January members of the “Safmar” company “RussNeft” and Neftisa plan to put to Belarus of 750 thousand tons of oil.
