Spain to Play in the Nations Cup Final against Ireland

The women’s hockey team of Spain will be facing off against Ireland in the final of the Nations Cup on Sunday, after defeating Chile 2-1. Alejandra Torres-Quevedo and Begoña García scored from penalty corners in the first quarter, securing the goals that led Carlos García Cuenca’s team to the final.

Denise Rojas scored a penalty stroke goal in the second quarter for Chile, but it was not enough to secure a win. Spain, who entered the semifinals as the winners of their group with a perfect record, will now compete for the title and the additional prize of promotion to the Pro League.
