Recall that in March the Deputy Minister of defence of the Russian Federation Alexey Krivoruchko said that the state tests of the “Vityaz” is complete. Until the end of 2019, the system shall be transferred to the military.
for the First time about SAM “Vityaz” became known in 2013, when it showed Vladimir Putin the Obukhovsky plant in St. Petersburg. Later s-350 was presented at the international air show MAKS-2013.
As explained by the creators, the new complex should replace s-300. “Knight” refers to SAM medium range: the maximum distance of the interception of aerial targets – up to 60 kilometers, and one launcher carries 12 missiles.
