Former Secretary of national security Council and defense of Ukraine Oleksandr Turchynov believes that the destruction of the Boeing 737-800 “Ukraine International airlines”, departing from Tehran airport, do not blame only Iran, but Russia.
“Ukrainian downed “Boeing” should answer not only the leadership of Iran, but also Russia”, — Turchynov wrote in his Facebook.
Explaining his position, the ex-Secretary of the national security Council said that Tehran is a strategic partner of Moscow, and so she could participate in “preparing a missile attack”.
meanwhile, Ukraine’s foreign Ministry is going to send Iran a note which will list all subsequent steps, including on the issue of compensation for the downed airliner. About it the press service of the President of Russia Vladimir Zelensky said after his phone conversation with Iranian leader Hassan Rouhani. “The Iranian side agrees with Ukraine on this issue (of compensation)”, — quotes the press service RIA Novosti.
Himself Zelensky said the upcoming meeting in his Twitter. So, he said that the recognition of Iran the fact that the plane was shot down, is a step in the right direction, urged Iranian counterpart as soon as possible to complete the identification of the bodies in the crash and bring them back to Ukraine, and also stressed that the perpetrators must be brought to justice.
Rouhani, for his part, promised Zelensky, in the near future will send to Ukraine a special envoy to officially Express regret to the Iranian nation and government about the crash. He added that he had instructed the head of the Iranian foreign Ministry to be in constant communication with his Ukrainian counterpart and to continue to cooperate on the issue on FOP.
