Four months after driving under the influence, a court convicted Solo. The 40-year-old has been jailed for 30 days for drinking and driving. The court also imposed a 24-month suspended prison sentence on her. Solo previously pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol.
According to the local newspaper “Winston-Salem Journal”, the ex-goalkeeper gave up her driver’s license and apologized to her family and fans. She made a “big mistake,” Solo wrote in a post on Instagram. “I underestimated how devastating a part of my life alcohol had become.” The blood test after the March incident showed that Solo had three times the legal alcohol content in his blood.
