Huawei found a replacement for Google Maps

As stated by Reuters, the representative of Huawei, the deal with Dutch firm on the provision of geolocation data is successfully closed. In the framework of cooperation, the Chinese smartphone maker will have access to maps, data on traffic and navigation service TomTom.

Earlier, Huawei, and other manufacturers of Android smartphones have successfully used on their devices the Google Play Services application and additional functional modules developed by the Android owner. However, the US imposed sanctions against the Chinese company made further cooperation impossible and forced the Chinese IT giant to create its own ecosystem of Huawei Mobile Services.

last year, Huawei has promised to spend on developer support, adapting their Android apps using the HMS, a billion dollars. HMS Core includes 24 tools for building applications. Key is the authorization tool Account Kit, map library Map Kit (which uses TomTom location), access to the cloud Drive Kit, payment tools Wallet Kit, and also system making in-app purchases, push notifications, Analytics, advertising, monetization, etc.
