However, during the work in this area found ancient tombs, so the landscaping was suspended until the completion of archaeological research, reports GTRK “Vladimir”.
the Study was conducted Volga expedition of Institute of archeology Russian Academy of Sciences. Studied about 600 square meters area within the boundaries of the object “Complex of monuments, 12-13 centuries: the settlement mound group”. Valuable discovery for the archaeologists was the fact that in the area of the burial mound and located the burial ground, located in merculana space.
Burials consist of small groups of 2-3 graves nearby. Most likely, this fact suggests that the buried was in kinship. In female burials of experts found temporal rings, bracelet color metal braided rings. In childhood found the suspension lunice, believed to date back to 12th century. Note that the materials obtained are extremely valuable for studying the medieval history of the City.
“These findings are important, including for tourist attraction. With the support of the district administration, we will install an information booth, allowing residents and visitors to the city, strolling through the Park updated, to get information about these artifacts,” says the regional Director of the Department of housing and Elena Semenova.
