July 4 will be a start to a Big Arctic regatta. It will become the most northerly competition in sailing. The route of the race will pass through Leningrad, Murmansk and Arkhangelsk region, Nenets Autonomous district, and Karelia. In the Republic team will make stops in Povenets, Belomorsk and Balaam. It is reported by the GTRK “Karelia”, aired on TV channels “Russia 1” “Russia 24”, with reference to regional tourism authority.
Note that the participation in the competition is a unique opportunity to visit onboard of the research vessel. The project will involve scientists of the largest research centers of Russia, as well as businessmen and public figures.
Note that the holding of the regatta will give impetus to the development of the Northern sea route, as well as helping to popularize sailing, for which in the Republic of Karelia has unique natural resources. Details about the competition can be found on the official website www.bigarcticrace.ru.
