In Minsk, vandals poured red paint on the monument to Pushkin

In the center of Minsk, the hotel “Belarus” vandals poured red paint on the monument to Pushkin.

the Minsk Publishing News, publishing video footage from the scene, reports that the police summoned a local resident who was walking nearby and saw the vandals desecrate the monument.

the Russian Embassy in Belarus has responded to this act of vandalism in his “Twitter”.

Russian diplomats in Belarus closely monitor this situation. In GUVD of Minsk city Executive Committee told them that the militia takes measures for establishment of persons, involved in the incident.

the monument to Alexander Pushkin – a gift to Minsk from Moscow city hall. It was opened on 10 July 1999, the 200th anniversary of the birth of the poet.
