In the Czech Republic died the speaker of the Senate Jaroslav Kubera

In the Czech Republic died, 72-year-old Chairman of the upper house of the Parliament Jaroslav Kubera. The head of the Czech Senate died in the North-West of the country. Kubera was unexpected: he became ill when he was going to go to his office. The speaker was hospitalized in a Greenhouse and then transferred to a hospital in ústí nad Labem. There he died.

Jaroslav Kubera headed the Senate since November of 2018, reminds TASS. Kubera passed in Parliament for the Civic democratic party. Previously, he was the mayor of Teplice.

In 1967, Jaroslav Kubera has supported democratic processes in Czechoslovakia and joined the Communist party. A year later he left the party in protest against the introduction into this country of the Warsaw Pact troops. Kubera was one of the most prominent spokesmen for liberal views in the Czech political scene. He did not live months before his 73 birthday.

Before the election of the new speaker of the Senate his responsibilities will be to perform the first Vice-speaker of the upper house of the Czech Parliament jiří Ruzicka.
