In the intensive care unit of Metropolitan hospital died oppositionist Sergei Mokhnatkin

In the intensive care unit of Moscow’s hospital number 67 at the age of sixty-six years died Sergei Mokhnatkin, which in some circles was called a human rights defender and political activist. Information about death was confirmed by his spouse.

Mohnatkin — man, of course, with a very rich biography. He regularly participated in various protest actions and has twice served prison terms. The first was for assaulting a police officer in 2009. The second — characteristically — for the same offense in 2013, TV channel “Russia 24”.

Serving a second term Mokhnatkin got a third for insulting an employee of the Federal penitentiary service and the disruption of the colony. That, perhaps, speaks of a certain integrity and strength of character.
