In the southern Urals has honoured the memory of victims of the gas explosion in Magnitogorsk

In the city of Magnitogorsk, Chelyabinsk region held a memorial service for the victims. We will remind, one year ago a house explosion on the Avenue of Karl Marx claimed the lives of 39 people, including six children.

Today in all the churches of the southern Urals were worship, informs GTRK “southern Ural”. In Magnitogorsk the Liturgy and the memorial service at the ascension Cathedral was headed by the head of the Archdiocese – Bishop Gregory. To honor those who died in the city of metallurgists personally came and the Governor of the Chelyabinsk region. Alexey Teksler, along with his wife laid flowers to the cross, which was installed in the temple, and was present at the funeral. The memorial service was attended by top officials of the city and the management of the Magnitogorsk metallurgical combine. Flowers and toys to the improvised memorial complex was carried in the morning and the inhabitants of the city.

“Such a tragedy, the town will never forget. Even no words to describe what happened a year ago”, – says the resident of Magnitogorsk Oksana Moskvin.

Many colors and even a small Christmas tree brought residents and the scene of the tragedy. There broke a square and planted 39 trees in the number of victims. The same white birds soar into the sky with the surviving wall of high-rise buildings. Alexey Teksler has been around the house, which is now divided into two parts.

the Governor of the Chelyabinsk region told what help was available to victims: “All the residents of the affected entrances were relocated. 102 apartments were purchased and handed over to the people. Plus volunteers from other entrances, it is 159 families also received the apartment.”

Residents opposed the chapel next to the affected house. Therefore, the steady state memorial complex in the future, I plan to build on the territory of the Voznesensky Cathedral. Now in the diocese together with the city authorities to decide what it will be.
