In Ukraine arrested the pilgrim with a disability from Sebastopol

When crossing the Ukrainian-Russian border, Ukrainian law enforcers detained a resident of Sevastopol who is an Orthodox believer. He is suspected of involvement in the activities of the self-defense of the Crimea. This was announced by the Commissioner for human rights in Sevastopol Pavel Bucy.

According to him, the detainee went to the Christmas pilgrimage to the Kiev-Pechersk Lavra. On 8 January he returned home to Sebastopol. He was detained at the checkpoint “Chongar”. Paul Bucy said that the Orthodox believer the next day chose a measure of restraint in form of arrest up to 3 March 2020, reports “Interfax”.

Sevastopol authorities will take all measures for the return of the detainee. The relevant requests have already been sent to the Commissioner for human rights in Russia Tatiana Moskalkova, as well as in the Ministry of foreign Affairs.
