The jury included renowned masters, among them Nikolai Tsiskaridze, Yuri Fateyev, Andrian Fadeev, as well as heads of ballet companies from Poland, Sweden, Finland and many other countries. The author of the project “Ballet of the future” Denis Matvienko, Prime Minister of the Mariinsky theatre, wanted to hold an international casting for a long time.
In Europe, where such event, if translated literally, is called “ballet audition”, experts have long find artists for theaters that way. In Russia, this practice is still a novelty.
