Irad Ortiz failed a CT scan, even though it Wasn’t immediately clear if he suffered a head injury past the cut that required stitches

“It did not seem very good in any respect,” Jose Ortiz told The Associated Press on Friday. “He’s four stitches on his six and arm to his mind, but he is doing, really, really excellent. It might’ve been a whole lot worse.”

Irad Ortiz failed a CT scan, even though it wasn’t immediately clear if he suffered a head injury past the cut that required stitches. His younger brother contributed an image on Twitter Thursday saying that Ortiz’s X-rays came back”clean” which he’d return in only a”couple months”

Jose Ortiz hurried to his brother’s help right after the fall. He told the AP he had been”relieved” when he watched himself that his brother had been speaking and may sense his extremities.

Ortiz will miss Saturday’s race horse trainer Todd Pletcher has replaced him with all the younger brother who’ll be riding Known Agenda. The group teamed up in 2017 to win the Belmont Stakes with Tapwrit.
