According to information from WELT AM SONNTAG, less than 60 percent of the ICE, IC and EC trains at Deutsche Bahn were on time in June. In May, the rate of punctual long-distance trains was still 63 percent.

The tracks have been underfinanced for years and damaged in many places. According to information from the newspaper, the investment backlog is currently around 60 billion euros.
