Motorola told how not to spoil the Razr smartphone with flexible screen

Before Motorola began taking orders for the smartphone-the Moto Razr clamshell with a folding half screen. Simultaneously, the company has posted on YouTube a series of videos which encouraged prospective buyers to careful handling of the device.

In the video, titled “caring for the razr” future owners of the smartphone reminded that its display is “made to Flex”, so “roughness and bumps – this is normal.” Recall that collapsing the panel Moto Razr is covered with a polyamide plastic layer, so Motorola apparently wanted to warn that the bending place can appear crease, and this is not a defect.

Also, the manufacturer recommended to wipe the screen of Moto Razr with a dry cloth if moisture appears to protect it from contact with sharp objects and do not use a protective film (most likely for fear that the glue will damage the screen as this can happen with the Samsung Galaxy Fold).

Separately, Motorola told me to always “put the smartphone before you put it in your pocket or purse”. Panel Moto Razr is quite fragile and can break if you bend it in the opposite direction.

In other commercials, the company told about the accessories for the smartphone and the capabilities of the camera.

In the US the Moto Razr you can pre-order only in the salons of the operator Verizon, Walmart stores, and on the Motorola site. Price – $1499. In sale the novelty will arrive by 6 February.

Moto Razr was submitted on 14 November. This is the first smartphone that is equipped with “continuous”, folding in half by the screen. The machine is not the most powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon processor 710, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory, and the second, a 2.7-inch display with a resolution of 800 by 600 pixels. The main camera has a resolution of 16-megapixels and aperture (f/1.7) lens, inside the front – 5 megapixel.
