Fans are outraged by the outcome of the prize of the British Academy of film and television art (BAFTA). In social networks actively discussing the fact that all the actors nominated for the award were white, and in two key nominations was not one female Director.

“Denzel Washington not nominated for BAFTA. Morgan Freeman too. It’s two greatest and most popular actor today. It cannot be denied that in this there was a racist scheme,” wrote another user of the social network.

a Representative of BAFTA Emma Bayer, commenting on the list of nominees, noted that the Academy also somewhat disappointed with the results.
“We would like to see more diversity in the nominations, but this is a problem throughout the film industry, she said The Hollywood Reporter. – I think we need to make more movies so people can see them. We definitely would like to see more diversity, but I also dont want to deprive all of the holiday.”
