Named the most corrupt Russian regions

According to the Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, in 2019 the level of corruption in the country was 21.1 crimes per 100 thousand population. This is slightly higher than a year earlier, in 2018 was recorded 20.8 crimes per 100 thousand of the population.

As a General rule, most bribery occurs when the development of the budget, tendering and carrying out different tests, in the work of law enforcement bodies in the sphere of housing and communal services, reports RIA Novosti with reference to the report of the Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov.

Above all the level of corruption has been found in Mordovia, Chuvashia, Kamchatka, Arkhangelsk, Bryansk, Magadan, Novgorod, Orenburg, Saratov and Tyumen regions (from of 29.68 to 26.31 crimes per 100 thousand population).

But the least corrupt officials in Ingushetia, Khakassia, Altai Krai, Vologda, Moscow, Murmansk, Penza regions, St. Petersburg, Sevastopol and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district (on of 6.41 to 9.94 crimes per 100 thousand population).
