Novak: Russia and Ukraine cancels mutual claims on gas

Russia and Ukraine have agreed that from 1 January 2020 cancels mutual claims. This was announced by Minister of energy of Russia Alexander Novak in interview to TV channel “Russia 24”. Would also be filmed the arrests of the property into account decisions on lawsuits.

According to Novak, no changes in the transit agreement between “Gazprom” and “Naftogaz Ukraine” to pay is not expected. A final agreement was reached at a meeting in Minsk.

“This is a commercial arrangement, they are absolutely mutually beneficial”, — said the Minister.

Russia and Ukraine signed a Protocol on gas cooperation during talks in Minsk on 20 December. According to the contract, the minimum volume of gas supplies will amount to 65 billion cubic meters of gas in 2020 and 40 billion cubic meters of gas annually in the period 2021-2024 years.
