Opening the meeting concerning liquidation of consequences of a spill of diesel fuel in Krasnoyarsk Krai, Russian President Vladimir Putin instructed to expedite the drafting of legislation aimed at preventing oil spills, reports TASS.
the President reminded that we are talking about the fragile nature of the Arctic zone. He demanded not just a “quick clean up” and completely restore the environment, providing a high-quality restoration of soils and waters in the Krasnoyarsk territory.
the Head of state stressed that “Nornikel” should continue to work to eliminate damage from an accident in Norilsk. He noted that in recent weeks have carried out extensive work on elimination of consequences of the spill.

during the meeting the head EMERCOM of Russia Evgeny Senichev reported that for the transportation of the collected diesel fuel to CHPP-3 in Norilsk from storage tanks to the enterprises “Norilsk Nickel” will be constructed of a soft tubing with a length of 20 km.
As reported earlier, on may 29 in Norilsk one of the storage tanks of diesel fuel were damaged due to subsidence of the supports of the Foundation. The result was the leak of about 21 thousand tons of fuel. In Krasnoyarsk region was introduced a state of emergency criminal case under several articles.
