Olivier and jelly refused to recognize the cultural heritage of humanity

the Russian Federation may not introduce the Russian tradition of celebrating New year in the list of intangible cultural heritage of UNESCO, as the country has not ratified the relevant Convention, told RIA Novosti in an international organization.

Deputy of the state Duma Victor Zubarev has previously proposed to include in the Representative list of the intangible cultural heritage of humanity the tradition of celebrating New year in Russia, as well as the tradition of the Christmas feast in Russia.

the list could go in several categories, including traditional Christmas buffet food and drinks — salad Olivier, herring under a fur coat and Mimosas, jellied aspic, and “Soviet champagne”, entertainment — family viewing of the film “Irony of fate or With light steam!”, mass celebrations, tobogganing and sledging, playing snowballs, cutting paper snowflakes, cutting confetti, Curling ribbons, streamers and more.
