Amendments to the Constitution, including on social issues, will be accepted for all Russians, said the TV channel “Russia 1” the Chairman of the Duma Committee on state construction and legislation Pavel Krasheninnikov.
“it is important that social benefits will be spelled out in the Constitution – won’t be tempted to change them or cancel altogether, as has happened before,” said Krasheninnikov. According to him, the government will help all Russians and, if based on social benefits, people will get them.
“We proceed from the fact that the majority of our people — respectable people. But the statement of integrity wouldn’t have,” joked the Chairman of the Duma Committee.
on Tuesday Pavel Krasheninnikov said that the interest of Russians to vote for amendments to the Constitution of Russia will be high. He expressed the hope that the fear of the coronavirus gradually subside, especially that taken by the CPS and the CEC measures to ensure the security of citizens at the polls more than sufficient.
Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree appointing a nationwide vote on the amendments on April 22. However, in a pandemic, the vote was postponed. After the meeting with the leadership of the CEC and members of the working group for preparation of amendments, the President signed a decree on holding a July 1 nationwide vote on amendments to the Constitution of Russia.
