A resolution on the recognition of petroglyphs heritage of the peoples of the Russian Federation was signed by the Chairman of the government Dmitry Medvedev.
As reported by the GTRK “far East”, petroglyphs of Sikachi-Alyan is the most famous monument of the ancient culture of the Khabarovsk territory. They are basalt boulders are inscribed with masks, animals, birds, snakes and boats. Just found about 300 pictures. At the moment they are in the preliminary list of UNESCO.
Note that now the petroglyphs are not protected, and therefore there is a risk of their destruction.
