“In the summer we hope that all of the measures – and even the season will help us – we will reduce the intensity of peprocess, – said Popov. But the risks that he, this peprocess, will return to the stage in its recovery and development in autumn, that’s enough”.

At the same time, according to Popova, even at the peak of the epidemic, the incidence of coronavirus in Russia was lower than in many European countries.
“At the peak, at the maximum numbers of daily morbidity, we were still two times lower per 100 thousand population than in a large part of European countries, – said Popov. – It is important to note. We prevented overloading of the health system and saved the people.”
Popov also said that among people infected with coronavirus in Russia became more children.
“We believe children up to 17 years. If at the beginning of the children was 5 per cent in the General structure of cases (…), today it’s 7.5 percent,” she said.
the Head of Rospotrebnadzor explained that the increase in the number of juvenile patients is due to adolescents older than 15 years. Is “that category of our population which is least committed to abide by any rules,” said Popov.
Earlier, on 18 June, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin noted a downward trend in the incidence of COVID-19 in the country. According to him, it can be seen in different regions, hence, there is reason to proceed to a lifting of quarantine measures and restrictions.
