President of the Continental hockey League Dmitry Chernyshenko took the post of Vice-Premier in the new government of Russia. The corresponding decree was signed by President Vladimir Putin.
In 2005-2007 Dmitry Chernyshevskaya bid to host the Olympics and Paralympics 2014. During 2007-2014, he led the organizing Committee of the XXII Olympic winter games and XI Paralympic winter games 2014 in Sochi.
In 2014, after the Olympic games in Sochi Dmitry Chernyshenko appointed President of Kontinental hockey League. From 2015 he was CEO and Chairman of the Board of JSC “Gazprom-media holding”.
