According to Putin, during the negotiations with Angela Merkel spoke in detail about the settlement of the crisis in Ukraine. The only basis for the normalization of the situation in the South-East of Ukraine are the Minsk agreements — is a mutual opinion, said the President of the Russian Federation.
He also said the extension of the law on the special status of Donbass is a good step in the right direction, however, in accordance with the Minsk agreements, the act must be open-ended. Also according to them it is necessary to fix the special status of Donbass in the Ukrainian Constitution, Putin said.
