Putin and Erdogan agreed on a common position on Libya

Vladimir Putin and Recep Tayyip Erdogan agreed on a common position on Libya. The heads of state called on all parties to cease fire starting from Sunday, January 12, and sit down at the negotiating table.

In the national consensus Government of Libya in response stated that it appreciated the efforts of Russia and Turkey to find a solution to the crisis. Earlier in Tripoli asked for help from Ankara on the background of the advancing forces of General Haftarot to the capital. The Turkish Parliament approved sending troops to Libya, reminds TV channel “Russia 24”.
