Putin arrived in Bethlehem for a meeting with the leader of Palestine

Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Bethlehem in the framework of his visit to the middle East.

according to “Interfax”, it is expected that the head of state will meet with Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas and discussed with him bilateral relations and the prospects for a Palestinian-Israeli settlement.

Before Putin and Abbas met in July 2018 in Moscow during the world Cup, after which the Palestinian politician accepted the invitation of the Russian President to visit the Russian capital on may 9, 2020.

Earlier on January 23, Putin visited Jerusalem, where he took part in commemorative events dedicated to the International day of remembrance of the victims of the Holocaust and the unveiling of a monument to Leningrad-blockade and held talks with the leadership of Israel.
