Putin: vaccine against coronavirus is important, but it is not a panacea

“by Itself, the vaccine is extremely important, stressed the theme of combating coronavirus COVID-19 in an address to the Russians on 23 June, Russian President Vladimir Putin, which was broadcast channel “Russia 24″. But it is not a panacea. To counter the threat is possible only through the observance of the whole complex of sanitary and preventive measures.”

According to Vladimir Putin, the flexible response model of epidemic situation with the adoption of the Federal measures and the provision of additional powers to the regions has fully justified itself. And this model was continued by the Russian head of state, adopted after Russia and other countries. This approach is justified because in each region the epidemic situation has evolved differently, and different rates of infection and its extent. And in some regions remains challenging. But the mechanism of rapid response has developed, Putin said, each region will receive the necessary assistance.

Among the regions with a complicated epidemic situation of coronavirus is now Tuva, Karachay-Cherkessia, Khanty-Mansi and Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous district. The President stressed that, despite the decline in the growth of new cases of disease, especially in Moscow and the Moscow region, is stored in the high readiness reserve beds for patients with coronavirus: if in the middle of March there were about 40 thousand specialized beds to help people with mers, in early June beds in reserve already 180 thousand.

Vladimir Putin stressed that in Russia in the epidemic of the coronavirus have been announced in a timely and reasonable days off. The decision to preserve human life, stressed Vladimir Putin.

He recalled that first period days there were only the week – April 3, but was extended more than a month – until may 11.

“We once again snatched the epidemic time and again achieved the main thing — to preserve human life, — the head of the Russian state. — It does not have to act according to the template.
