Russian physicists have discovered a new particle

the Search for new physics continues. Russian scientists have discovered a new particle type. Distinguished experts, Institute of nuclear physics (BINP) of the Siberian branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. They saw in the experiment on electron-positron Collider VEPP-2000 the process of birth pseudovector particles F1(1285).

prior To that on the electron-positron Collider were born only vector particles, said TASS. Now a new particle beyond the Standard model. The opening of each new particle helps in promoting an understanding of the world.

“We want to understand what we all are, and this curiosity is not idle — explains the corresponding member of RAS, Deputy Director of the Institute of nuclear physics in Novosibirsk Yuri Tikhonov. Is important for the whole physics particle. History has shown that the work in this direction leads to progress in technology, equipment and household applications”.

the success of the experiment led accurate theoretical calculations and high luminosity of the installation.

Pseudovector particle was born in the collision of electron and positron. She then disintegrated into other elementary particles with different characteristics.

Novosibirsk Institute of nuclear physics is one of the leading centers in a number of areas of high energy physics and accelerators, plasma physics and controlled thermonuclear fusion. Electron-positron colliders and unique complex of open plasma traps the Institute conducts large-scale experiments in particle physics. Here are designed and developed intense synchrotron radiation sources and free electron lasers, high-power accelerators.
