Russia's first Victory Parade was held in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky

In Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, a solemn passage of troops in honor of the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the great Patriotic war – the first in Russia.

In solemn procession was attended by soldiers of the joint command of troops and forces in North-East Russia (OKVS), Border Department of the FSB of Russia in the Arctic region, the Main Department of EMERCOM of Russia in Kamchatskiy Krai. In the parade held about 900 people, reports TASS.

While fighting in the war on Kamchatka did not pass, however, from its earliest days the inhabitants of the Peninsula have declared their intention to go to the front as volunteers. In accordance with the objectives of wartime was rebuilt work of economic, state and social organizations.

with funds raised by the Kamchadals, on the front was sent to the squadron, “Kamchatka front” tank column “the fisherman of Kamchatka” and other military equipment.

All the years of the war went to the front more than 23 thousand inhabitants of the Peninsula. Nearly three thousand of them never came back home from fields of war.
