FC Bayern will have to do without full-back Noussair Mazraoui for several weeks. The Moroccan World Cup participant was absent on Friday morning when Munich departed for the training camp in Qatar and was not on the squad list.

The 25-year-old is ill and should be out for at least four to six weeks. This is what “BILD” reports first. Mazraoui fell ill with Corona during the World Cup in Qatar. The infection hit him particularly hard: Mazraoui has an inflammation of the pericardium. He now has to be completely rested. His blood has been tested over the past few days.

He was advised to be physically inactive. After the rest, new tests will be made week by week and a decision will be made as to whether Mazraoui can resume training.
