Shooting in Atlanta: two killed, five wounded

Two people were killed and five injured in a shooting in Atlanta (GA, USA). The incident happened in the North-Eastern part of the city where demonstrations took place, demanding to protect the rights of black Americans and to stop the excessive use of force by the police.

Shot from a car, police posted a photo of a dark pickup truck allegedly involved in the shooting, reports Fox News channel.

Atlanta started to protest on Saturday over the death of African-American Rashard Brooks. Brooks was sitting in a car near a fast food restaurant, when two police officers tried to detain him. The man began to resist and even stole a police Taser. Then militiamen have opened fire. Brooks died in the hospital. The chief of police of Atlanta, Erica shields, resigned. The shooter COP was fired, another suspended.
