the Spanish authorities today opened the borders for citizens of EU and Schengen area, according to the European media. After crossing the border from them will not be required to comply with the mandatory 14-day quarantine.
however, not all EU countries have open borders with Spain. For example, the authorities of the neighboring Portugal announced that the border from their side will be open not earlier than 1 July.
Spain was one of the main epicentres of the spread of coronavirus infection in Western Europe. The country has identified more than 300 thousand cases of infection, more than 28 thousand patients died. Spain is in sixth place in the number of cases COVID-19 died from this infection.
