The Japanese island of Honshu was rocked by tremors

on Tuesday, 14 January, in the morning local time in the Eastern part of the main Japanese island of Honshu earthquake of magnitude 5.0.

According to Meteorological management of Japan, the epicenter of the seismic event was located adjacent to Tokyo Prefecture, Ibaraki Prefecture, its center lies at a depth of about 50 km, reports TASS. Tremors felt residents of the prefectures of Tochigi, Chiba, and Fukushima. The threat of a tsunami has not been announced, information on casualties or damage were reported.
