The new U.S. Ambassador presented his credentials to the Russian foreign Ministry

Deputy foreign Minister of Russia Sergey Ryabkov met with the new U.S. Ambassador to Russia John L. Sullivan, in the course of the meeting the American diplomat handed copies of his credentials.

As transfers TASS, the world public was informed in the foreign Ministry, noting that Ryabkov Sullivan wished successful work and expressed hope for improving Russian-American relations.

the 60-year-old Sullivan, who prior to his current appointment he held a number of positions in the U.S. Department of state, in particular, was at one time acting head of the American foreign Ministry, arrived in Moscow on 16 January 2020. It has replaced on a post of the US Ambassador in Russia 59-year-old Jon Huntsman, who resigned in early August, 2019.
